In the Barzan region of Iraqi Kurdistan, a white horse descended from the lineage of Mulla Mustafa Barzani’s horses, the first leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, was captured by my camera. The horse was poised like a white Pegasus, ready to take flight into the sky. This image symbolizes freedom for the Kurdish people, who have never experienced peace and tranquility in their history.
